Page 2 of 3 GH: Tell us about your background - education, experience, notable accomplishments, etc.
Keri: I still live with my daddy, mommy, and my brother. I graduated from high school in 05’. I’m currently attending college, so I have the experience of living on my own right there, which has been great! Haven’t really been homesick yet, besides I miss living close to a city and my mommy’s cooking. My college right now is located in a very small town. I’ve accomplished much throughout my life, which will take hours to tell. I love making mistakes! I think making mistakes is the coolest thing because I learn from them. Either that, or I can apply those mistakes in the future or on a different project that can create something new and cool! GH: Are you involved in any current projects? What are your long term goals? Keri: One of the current projects right now is I am a Milwaukee Mile Grid Girl! I’m a promotional model for The Milwaukee Mile races/events. The Grid Girls will make appearances at the NASCAR, IRL, Governor’s Cup race, and events. We do promotions at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, festivals, and local bars. At the races we will wave the flags over the cars, meet-n-greet fans, sign autographs and get pictures taken with them, promote the Milwaukee Mile/events/races/Miss Milwaukee Mile. It’s a very fun job and I’m glad I can take part in it. I always set short/long time goals for myself and some of them that I accomplish I like to keep on my list. My long time goal is to own my own fashion label under KLS by Keri Lynn SanFelippo. I want to be featured on covers of magazines and events! GH: What have you enjoyed about modeling? Any specific event or shoot that stands out? Keri: I enjoy all aspects of modeling. It’s a career that I definitely enjoy and have gained lots of confidence from. Doing promotional modeling is great…I love meeting and talking to new people! I like to get inside their head and know who their favorite music artist is, favorite fashion designer, and their opinions. The Milwaukee Mile Grid Girls has given that opportunity for me to connect with others during a modeling job. A lot people think modeling is easy…it is defiantly not! There is a lot the model has to know, to do, and to deal with being in the modeling industry. Such as knowing which poses works great on him/her, eating habits that you have to get yourself into, modeling scams, and much more! One of the modeling jobs that was definitely not easy for me was Freeze Modeling. I had to stand behind store window display in a local mall and stand there posing really still like a mannequin. I could not talk to anyone, nor try not to laugh. I had to stand there under lights, in a dress, and high heels for about 5 hours with one 15 min break. Trying not to laugh wasn’t a problem for me…I basically daydreamed the whole time to make the time go by faster.
