Keri Lynn SanFelippo

Meet Keri Lynn SanFelippo - a model with a bubbly attitude that is sure to get her noticed!

Keri Lynn SanFelippoGH: How would you describe your personality? Any quirks?

Keri: There is only one word that I like to describe myself as, and that is “xposed.”  Xposed is basically being true to who I am and others.  It's stripped down to my bare innerself xposing what I have to say, reveal, or do.  I’m a very original person that doesn’t care at all what people have to say or think about me.  I’m a real person whether people like it or not, they are just going to have to deal with it.  In the end, I will still be here doing what I love to do and living my life for me.  I’m very comfortable with myself xposing my sexuality.  I don’t have a problem doing it at all. It's really expressing who I really am as a person and not what people want to turn me into.  I’m not a conservative person at all.  I guess I can say I have a fun personality.  I have that crazy, wild, and outgoing side of me.  Then there is yet, that girl who is shy and wants to do things on her own.  Even though I am a true brunette, constantly there is always that side of me that has a blonde and ditsy bounce in me.  I’m a very girly girl that loves fashion, shopping, beauty, partying, and entertainment news.  I’m defiantly not into sports at all…though I do like attending baseball games.  I belt out songs constantly - I can’t carry a tune what-so-ever, which makes it even better when people overhear me!  I have the artistic side that I get from my mommy and the smart ass allick attitude that I get from my daddy, which I love!  My parents and my brother are my favorite role models.  Outside of family, my favorite role model and music artist is Christina Aguilera.  I haven’t met her yet, though that is one of my wishes, but she is a great role model to me….I can’t say enough.   Without her, I wouldn’t be the person who I am today.

GH: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now? Are you happy where you're at?

Keri: I grew up in Milwaukee, WI for about 14 years.  I enjoyed my childhood days, and sometimes, I wish I can go back and relive it over again.  My family decided it was time to put our home on the market, and of course, I didn’t want to move.  The neighborhood I lived in was great…there were ton of children that my brother and I could play with.  I then moved in with my family currently living about 5-10 min outside of Milwaukee.  I like living around the Milwaukee area… being close to the city where things happen make me feel like home.  I do like it better where I live now; it’s not too far from where I used to live.

GH: How did you start modeling? Was it an easy decision or or did it take some convincing?

Keri: One of my best friends, Dana, was taking a photography course in high school and was pursuing her career in photography, I began modeling in her photos.  I’ve always admired working with her.  We have a great friendship and have the same ideas in fashion/modeling photography. Then I went to the John Robert Powers modeling audition….have gotten cold feet at that. Half a year later, I went to audition for John Casablancas Modeling & Career Center…started modeling school through them.  It was fun to go through, I met great people, learned a little more in the modeling industry; though I was not satisfied with it.  To me it was a scam.  At the same time, I heard people have gotten a lot of success through them.  After that ended…I signed the contract for MTM (Model and Talent Management) Agency that went through John Casablancas.  I was defiantly not satisfied with that agency…I barley have received any modeling jobs through that.  It was a yearly contract, so I just stuck with it for the rest of the year.  Basically, the whole modeling situation there was a bit of a scam, but I had fun doing it…I’ve learned!  During the summer of 06’, I have pushed myself into the modeling direction more.  Since the agency wasn’t giving me much to work off of…I decided to be my own boss and booking agent and started there.  I’ve done a ton of research/promoting myself on the internet and that’s how I started getting more modeling jobs.   When I ended my freshman year of college, I said to myself, “I’m going for it!  Modeling jobs won’t come to me when I’m sitting around at home.”  I convinced myself that I will make it far in my career if I put the effort towards it.  I dream big and will continue to because that’s what pushes me to work harder, to do more, and to climb the ladder.  The sky is not the limit….I can always take a space shuttle and go past the sky into space.  Moreover, another photographer I enjoyed working with is Jonathan Photography in the Milwaukee area.  He has been a blast to work with and has a great eye for photography…we bond pretty good! [laugh]  I’ve defiantly learned a lot through him, as well as all of the other photographers I have worked with.
